Lola Leyland DigiPak

FRONT COVER
This is the DigiPak that I have created for the 'Life Happens' single. I have chosen this image to be the front cover as the name of the album and single relate to the image of the origami boat which also is features in the music video. The symbol of the boat reflects to the 'Life Happens' as it conveys moving on,  getting by and living life and floating.

THE INSIDE
These are the images that are inside the DigiPak. I have coincided these images to the artists website and to the music video. I took the unique backgrounds from the music video and took pictures of all four of them with the artist making different/funny facial expressions. I related the images with the polaroid's from the website creating a link between all of the ancillary products, which makes the audience recognise these factors of the artist. I have also included lyrics to a variety of the artists tracks, which are featured on the CD. This lyrics are written upon images that were taken when filming the music video.

THE BACK COVER
This is the back cover of the DigiPak which I have chosen and edited with the a track list. I like this picture because of the simplicity of the sun and the silhouette of the artist. This is as the theme throughout the video was simple and I wanted to connect this with the DigiPak. I feel that this images expresses all these elements. I have additionally added the scanning barcode on the back alongside the 'Edify Production' production company logo.

Images on Ancillary Products

All the images that are used on the ancillary products are original images that were taken by the crew. As our main artist is a friend of ours and singers herself, we were able to get images of her performances in the duration of planning and shooting.

Digi-Pak Research

A Digipak typically consists of a gatefold/book style paperboard or card stock outer binding.  It has one or more plastic trays which can hold a CD/DVD attached to the inside. The Digipak are the alternative to jewel cases used by major record companies.

A Digipak s a form of promotion; to encourage fans to buy the Digipak the features of a digipak are lyrics sheets, behind the scenes, photo shoots and other exclusives for the fan.

The advert that accompanies the Digipak also needs to be appealing to the fan, as this might be the only thing they see before purchasing their physical copy, for example if buying online. There needs to be a recurring aesthetical theme between the Digipak and it adverts, as well as between both these tings and the music video itself.

These are example of the design templates of some Digipaks to visually see:

DigiPaks that I Love!!

I have created a Glog to show all the aldum cover/digiPaks that I personally love. These are covers I have taken an interest into, due to its creativeness and from purely being appealing and eye-catching.
